Dear Parents, The strike is set to begin on Monday. In the morning, students will report to the playground as usual and then go into the MPR when the first bell rings. The News this week has more information, but as always, you can reach me at rebecca.johnson@lausd.net if you have a question. Two pieces of information I neglected to include in the newsletter. The cafeteria will be open during the strike and I will be manning the valet line. - Mrs. J

Dear Parents, Veteran's Day is important in my family as every branch of the military is represented by uncles and cousins.  Thank you to all of you who are serving or have served our county.  We honor and appreciate your sacrifice. There are some important meetings coming up, so read the news with your calendar handy. - Mrs. J

Dear Parents, You may have noticed that for the past two Friday mornings I've been standing in front of the gate to the service yard next to the Osprey Cafe. This is because a few weeks ago a couple of our students were almost hit be a car that had been parked in front of the gate and was backing out into the parking lot. When you park in front of the gate you block the walkway that students use to go to the front gate of the school creating a dangerous situation. The no parking signs were posted on the gate in the hopes that it would prevent this from happening. Please honor those signs. For your child's safety, for the safety of all of our students, do not park in front of the gate at any time! Please keep the walkway to school safe. Thank you very much! Enjoy the news! - Mrs. J
